About

A Source for Truth

"Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, And Your law is truth."

Psalm 119:142 (NKJV)

A Forum for Debate

"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."

II Timothy 3:16-17 (NKJV)

A Community of Strength

"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself."

Luke 10:27 (NKJV)

The Program on Biblical Law and Christian Legal Studies advances a rigorous institutional vision in which biblical law informs the formation of leaders, the shaping of legal thought, and the pursuit of justice in a complex global order. Rooted in Scripture and animated by intellectual excellence, the Program cultivates a scholarly community committed to integrating faith and law in service of principled leadership and the common good. The Program seeks to renew legal imagination by recovering biblical law as a living intellectual tradition—capable of shaping institutions, guiding public responsibility, and forming leaders of character. Through sustained inquiry, debate, and formation, the Program establishes ongoing opportunities for faculty, researchers, and students at Harvard University to engage biblical law as a source of jurisprudential insight and institutional transformation. The Program advances the study of biblical law as a foundational resource for leadership, institutional integrity, and the moral architecture of public life. Committed to excellence in scholarship and formation, the Program prepares leaders to draw upon biblical truth in shaping law, strengthening institutions, and addressing the enduring challenges of our time.
